Earth Day 2015 at Orlando International Airport
If you were walking around Orlando International Airport (OIA) on Tuesday April 22nd, you may have spotted the Bag Monster roaming the ARTport in the Main Terminal, as part of OIA’s Earth Day event.
Organized by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) Green Team, Green Destination Orlando, and ecoPreserve, Earth Day at OIA was a major success! A record-breaking number of airport employees, community members and travelers took part in the airport’s biggest Earth Day event so far.
Contributing to this success were the 68 participating companies and local organizations
The ARTport was literally taken over by stands and tables, with community members engaging passers-by with recycling trivia games, recycling bin tosses and offering numerous eco-tips and prizes.
Good job team! We already can’t wait for next year’s Earth Day at OIA! In the meantime, we are excited about the great strides we have made with GOAA to meet their Waste Diversion Goals and look forward to our continued collaboration.
