Commissioning panel discusses Shands Hospital success

The CxEnergy 2017 conference brought building commissioning experts to Orlando’s Champions Gate Resort, where they discussed and viewed state-of-the-art tools and technologies. The April event focused on building commissioning and energy management, as well as measurement and verification.

Alexa Stone, ecoPreserve President, moderated a panel discussion of the success that the University of Florida had as a result of commissioning at Shands Hospital. They cited overall objectives of achieving utility savings through high-performing buildings. One result was American Hospital Association recognition for facilities at Vista Rehab and the Cancer Hospital (South Tower).

Among the distinguished panel members was Sanjyot Bhusari, PE, CEM, LEED AP from Affiliated Engineers. Sanjyot and Alexa are both board members of The University of Florida Green Building Learning Collaborative
