New team members bring new skills and interests

As we begin the second quarter of this new year, ecoPreserve is pleased to introduce its newest team members.

Jahn Dussich

At Orlando International Airport’s South Terminal Complex, construction will begin soon. Jahn Dussich will be on site as Office Engineer with the ecoPreserve team, participating in construction inspections.

A University of Central Florida graduate, Jahn participated in and more recently managed several NASA projects at the Kennedy Space Center. Even eight years ago, his focus was on environmental and energy technology.

Jahn advocates a way to support the environment while working online. His search engine of choice, Ecosia, has a familiar search box format and it quickly retrieves results. Important differences from other search engines go beyond the browser. The non-profit organization the provides Ecosia support tree-planting internationally, contributing 80 percent of search engine advertising profits to support those programs.

I’ve been using Ecosia for a few years now …every search is planting trees.

The organization never sells data to advertisers, and they never install third-party trackers. Jahn notes their achievement in planting over 24 million trees and their ambitious 2020 goal: 1 billion trees.

Daniel Schreiber

Daniel’s work as Sustainability Specialist has him collaborating in the development of a database to track construction material credits. Other projects have him wearing hospital scrubs as he works in hospital recycling programs.

Here, new team members Oscar Vargas (left) and Daniel Schreiber (right) work alongside Jessica Wright and Rains Vickery, volunteering at Clean the World.

A USGBC LEED Green Associate, Daniel is working toward the LEED AP credential.

Oscar Vargas

In his Business Manager role, Oscar is developing a strategic roadmap that looks five years ahead at building efficiency, the resource lifecycle, workplace wellness, and implementing change. He is in frequent dialog with our partners and customers, making new friends and meeting many that we’ve known for years. His work draws upon more than a decade of experience in B2B business development, project management, and leadership.

Oscar describes his mission and passion as “helping people and nature prosper together.” That is apparent every day; a commitment shared with the entire ecoPreserve team.
